1950年代から1960年代にかけて、カリフォルニア州を中心に発展したローブローアートは、反商業的な態度とユーモア、風刺を取り入れ、現代にも進化を遂げ続けるアートムーブメントです。

その中で、SKETCH氏は多彩な作風で人気を集め、日本を代表するローブローアーティストとして知られ、世界的に高く評価されています。

1995年から活動を開始したSKETCH氏は、JEFF DECKERのアートを手掛け、ヴィンテージウェアを編集した写真集『MY FREEDOM』で注目を浴びるなど、カスタムカーカルチャーとホットロッドカルチャーを象徴するアーティストとして、世界的な影響力を誇ります。

今回のSKETCH氏への依頼は、彼の原点とも言えるカスタムカーカルチャーに深く根ざした50年代から60年代のホットロッドカルチャーウェアの制作。BOW WOWとのコラボレーションにより、当時のスタイルを再現した、エアブラシアートと刺繍ジャケットが誕生しました。

これらのアイテムは、BOW WOWのヴィンテージウェアに見まごう製作技術を駆使し、当時のタッチで仕上げられた一品です。エアブラシデザインは、まるでエアブラシを吹き付けたかのように見える驚きのプリント技術で製作されています。

Lowbrow art, which developed mainly in California in the 1950s and 1960s, is an art movement that continues to evolve today, incorporating anti-commercial attitudes, humor, and satire.

Among these artists, Mr. SKETCH has gained popularity for his diverse style and is known as one of Japan's leading lowbrow artists and is highly acclaimed worldwide.

Mr. SKETCH, who has been active since 1995, has created art for JEFF DECKER and gained attention for his photo book “MY FREEDOM,” a compilation of vintage clothing, and boasts worldwide influence as an artist who symbolizes custom car culture and hot rod culture. He is also an influential figure in the world of custom car and hot rodding culture.

This time, SKETCH was commissioned to create hot rod culture wear from the 50s and 60s, deeply rooted in the custom car culture that is his origin, and in collaboration with BOW WOW, an airbrush art and embroidered jacket were created, recreating the style of the period.

These items are made with BOW WOW's vintage-inspired production techniques and finished with a touch of that era. The airbrush designs are created using an amazing printing technique that makes them look as if they have been airbrushed.

Expect a special collaboration item that brings the spirit of lowbrow art to life.
